Sub- Service termination letter

Dear Alex

I am writing this letter to inform you that your services in our company will be terminated with effect from 30th August 2011.As you must be aware that our company is passing through a tough phase on account of lack of orders and decline in profit margins, it is impossible for the management of the company to run its business with such a large workforce.

The management of the company has decided to trim its headcount in all the overstaffed departments. Unfortunately we are forced to terminate your services under such unfavorable business environment. I would like to thank you on behalf of the management for your fifteen years dedicated service towards the company. Your invaluable contribution in completion of some of the successful projects of our company such as rolling mills and sinter plant operation is highly appreciated by the management.

You will be receiving one month’s extra salary as compensation for the service termination. I would once again convey my regards for your dedication towards the company and wish you best of luck for the future.

Yours faithfully,

Peter Gomes
